Everything you need to know about setting up and running your Voicesse AI voice agent.
Voicesse gives your business a dedicated AI voice agent that answers your phone calls 24/7 — in your business's name, on your own number. It can answer questions, book appointments, take messages, and (for restaurants) take orders, all in a natural-sounding voice you choose.
No new hardware. During onboarding we provision a dedicated phone number for your agent, or you can forward your existing number to it — there's nothing to install. Everything is managed from your dashboard in a browser.
Most businesses are live in under five minutes. The onboarding wizard walks you through your business info, what you want your agent to handle, your knowledge base, and your agent's voice — then it's ready to take calls.
Yes — every new account starts with a 14-day free trial and 50 minutes of call handling. A payment method is required to start the trial, but you won't be charged unless you choose to upgrade to a paid plan.
Depending on what you turn on: answer questions about your business, book, reschedule, or cancel appointments, take messages, and — for restaurants — take full food orders by reading back the order and total before confirming.
No — think of it as a receptionist that never misses a call. It's there for overflow, after-hours, and busy moments, and it can hand off to a real person when you've set up call transfer.
Yes — set a forwarding number in your settings, and your agent will connect the caller to a human when asked or when it can't help. If no forwarding number is set, it'll take a message and let the caller know someone will call them back shortly.
It never pretends to know something it doesn't. If it can't answer a question or complete a request, it lets the caller know your team will follow up, and takes down what they need.
Yes — Voicesse uses natural, human-sounding voice technology, and you choose which voice and personality (tone) your agent uses from your dashboard.
Yes — you can write your own greeting from the Agent settings page. Every call also opens with a short, required disclosure that it's an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded, ahead of whatever you write.
Yes — the Instructions section under Agent settings lets you add house rules or reminders you want your agent to keep in mind on every call, like a policy or something it should always mention.
Yes — pick from a library of voices and a set of personality presets (Friendly & Warm, Professional & Polished, Calm & Reassuring, and more) from the Agent settings page. How many you can choose from depends on your plan.
Yes — whatever you enter during onboarding or in Settings (hours, services, FAQs) becomes part of what your agent knows and can answer callers with.
Every agent speaks English. Growth and higher plans include Spanish automatically. Pro can add 2 more languages, and Enterprise up to 5, from your Agent settings page.
Yes — each supported language uses its own dedicated native voice (matched to the gender of the voice you picked), not your English voice attempting a second language.
The trial is free. Starter is $49*/mo (150 minutes, English only), Growth is $99*/mo (300 minutes, includes Spanish), Pro is $199*/mo (600 minutes, up to 2 more languages). Enterprise is custom-priced for higher volume. No setup fees on any self-serve plan. *Prices shown don't include applicable taxes. Usage beyond your plan's included minutes is billed at $0.39/min.
On a paid plan, your agent keeps answering calls without interruption — extra minutes are billed at $0.39 each on your next invoice. We'll email you at 80% and 100% of your included minutes so you can upgrade instead if you'd rather.
Once you reach your trial's 50-minute limit or its 14-day expiration, whichever comes first, your agent pauses until you subscribe to a paid plan.
Yes — upgrade anytime from the Billing page, or manage or cancel your subscription anytime through the “Manage subscription” link, which opens your secure billing portal. Canceling takes effect at the end of your current billing period; we don't offer refunds for partial months.
Your AI agent may record and transcribe calls, and every call opens with a spoken disclosure saying so. Depending on where you and your callers are, you may need to obtain additional consent beyond this baseline notice — see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for details.
Yes — data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and each business's data is isolated from every other business's. See our Security page for more.
Yes, anytime — email privacy@voicesse.io and we'll act on it. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we retain and for how long.
Voicesse is a general-purpose voice agent — it isn't currently certified or configured to handle regulated data like Protected Health Information, financial data covered by GLBA, or privileged legal communications. If your business is in one of these areas, please read the Regulated and Sensitive Data section of our Terms of Service before using Voicesse for calls that could involve this kind of information.
Check your Agent settings first — most issues (a wrong greeting, a capability that's off) are a quick fix there. If something still seems off, email support@voicesse.io with your business name and what you're seeing, and we'll help you sort it out.
Yes — your dashboard shows call history with transcripts, summaries, and sentiment for every call your agent handles, along with any appointments or orders it took.
